About Me

My real name is Madeline, but my family and friends call me Meg... A born and bred Australian. I've been traveling ever since i left home really (when I was 18) I'm 25 now, and have been living in Berlin since 2016 before that I lived in a few cities in Aus: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane. And as I’m a nature lover also felt content whilst living on a remote turtle reserve island in the Great Barrier Reef and a remote Canyon in the Northern Territory (Australian outback) I also spent one year in Israel working as a volunteer with mentally and physically disabled people, that year was the most challenging and rewarding year of my life so far, but there’s no regrets in my life so far, just valuable lessons learnt.

Whenever I'm 'at home' in Australia I realise what I miss about ‘down under’ the salty air at the beach and the native flowers mixed with that overwhelming eucalyptus smell in summer. But for everything i adore about Australia I always seemed to feel a little incomplete, perhaps just too far away from Europe? I guess that’s why my move to Berlin was so easy, i love living in a place that has seasons! I feel so blessed to see all the different flora and fauna and the changing of the seasons, it’s a dream! (Did I mention im a Florist? Yeah, hence my crazy reaction to all things nature ;) Berlin is such a vibrant city, I love this place for all it is and all it isn’t ...it has become my home.

Teach, Learn, Share

Travel has taught me more about myself and life than school ever did, and although 'still young' i have seen and felt love like i never thought possible. Not just with my partner, but also the forests, mountains and long stretches of ever changing landscapes.

The kindness of people in the most unsuspecting places who offered a ride, directions, local travel tips, free meal, a toilet, a joint, or gosh... even a place to sleep! these are the people that have made my journey beautiful, these gestures of kindness however small, changed me as a person.

The people you meet whilst far from your own home, who offer a helping hand with no expectation of money or payment, just because they want to help. This you cant buy on a 'Contiki tour' or cruise ship. This is real. This, is travel at its best.
