CURRENT MISSION

When I was younger I wanted to make the world a better place and today I want to make my life and life of people around me better, so they can than change their microsmos, and than they will change their friends microcomsoses and etc it will be a better world at the end. So I still want to make the world a better place, but I became realist.

ABOUT ME

I come from Croatia. I love traveling, but to this day I did not do much of it because of cheap excuses. :) I'm relatively cheerful and happy person, in some rare occasions I could shed a tear, but it doesn't last long.

I studied journalism and now I work as one.

I have big family - 6 of us live together.

I love singing, reading, writing, watching good movies and tv shows, talking, chillin, exploring, drinking coffee, sweets, dancing, Christmas, new years eve.

But I guess if you have something that you are intrested in - please feel free to ask me.

And one more thing - my English isn't very good, so please be patient :)

Help and you will be helped - does that have same meaning as in Croatian?

Im some kind of feminist.
I love to help and I love to listen people.
I am sad when I see that somebody suffers. And I'm trying to help.
I don't love violence, Im against it.

I think that this world would be much better if all people would try to be positive. :) And if you help someone it always comes back. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I dont know if I can offer a couch to anyone. Simply, I have a large family with whom I live. I must tell them and have "tribal" planning. So if I can give you place to sleep it would be in very last moment.

For my participation I can offer you - tour around the city, going out with me and maybe some cup of coffee and big bowl of listening, talking and laughing (maybe singing) :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I didnt have any. Once I was a host on Taize meeting, and my family host two girls from Poland - it was nice experience. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - I especialy adore old movies. Old movies have charm and simplicity - story is important. :) My MA thesis was based on movies and I was studying the development of women in the history of the Sci-fi movies. So, yes it's hard for me to pick out few.

Music - Jazz and Bluse Divas - Etta James, Ella Fitchgerald, Edit Piaf, Aretha, Billie Holiday, Big Mama Thorton,; Elvis, Cash, Pink Floyd, Queen, Beatles... also I listened Nightwish, Epica, Edguy, Blind Gurdian, The CreepShow, Horrorpops when I was younger, today I like to come back to that music, but not all the time... Also I love new music, so - Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera, Lorde, Pink, etc... and a lot of classical music also :)

Books- its really everything, from Jane Austen book, to Kafka, Dostoyevsky, Zola, Baudelaire, Flaubuert, to todays classics like Harry Potter etc... I think you must read every book possible and even than its hard to judge book by its covers. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my educational years I was nanny, so once I guarded 9 children at the same time - I know it's not a lot, but keep in mind I'm not a teacher, but journalist.
I was giving free hugs, on main square of Zagreb :)
I sang 8th mahler symphony :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to chillex and drink coffee for three hours (national croatian tradition).
I can teach you Croatian - it is a very interesting language and some people would say beautiful :) and also we have a nice list of curse words that are difficult to translate ;)
I can teach you alto parts of some classical pieces (I sing in biggest amateur choir in Croatia)
I can teach you making some national dish.
When I was younger I was dancing jewish folklore, so I could say that I can teach you how to dance, but I think I couldn't remember.

If you come to Croatia I can show you my town, talk you about my experience, about life in Croatia, take you on some concerts, introduce you to my friends, etc.
