Overview
About Me
I'm a psychologist, living in Berlin and working in market research. In my leisure time I travel a lot. My goal for the nearest future is to visit all capital cities in Europe. After this I will expand to other parts of the world :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I started a real adventure with cs after moving to Berlin. New country, new town, no friends. Thanks to cs I meet a lot of lovely people :)
Interests
There is nothing I do not enjoy more than planning a trip, reading books about the place that I plan to visit and preparing my own sightseeing maps :) I mostly like to visit (mandatory by foot) cities and get to know them from the architectural side, but I do not pour scorn by doing trekking in the mountains. I am interested also in photography therefore I will always bring back hundreds of megabytes of photos from every trip :)
On a daily basis, if I am not traveling, I work in front of a computer. Through Berlin I go by bicycle (because it is healthier, faster and cheaper, with emphasis on healthier). As for a girl from the sea, I like to swim and play volleyball.
I'm passionate about learning foreign languages (German, Spanish, English). Recently, I also consider refreshing the knowledge of French, which for 3 years I studied in high school.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: it was always present in my life, I cannot imagine my life without it. I like different generes, I have no favorite artists. I like listening music, dancing and occasionally I do music myself, playing the guitar :)
Movies: generally I like all genres, except science fiction; best in original version, so I can combine entertainment with learning :)
Books: I divide my readings between the typical books with heroes, action and side stories; psychological literature and travel guides :) Among my favorites I can mention classics such as Pride and Prejudice (Jane Austen); Emily Jane Brontë or Crime and Punishment (Fyodor Dostoevsky), but also a contemporary novel like Bridget Jones. I am a psychologist and I also like reading books about coaching and self-development.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I threw everything, moved to a foreign country and completely changed my life. This taught me two things:
1) Life is too short to live in an unsatisfactory way.
2) Everything is possible, just believe it and overcome the fear of change :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to exchange my knowledge of foreign languages and create some tandem with somebody.
What I Can Share with Hosts
When I travel, I usually go out early in the morning and return late in the evening. In this way I can take the maximum advantage of the places I visit :) I can offer my hosts to roam together their own cities, preparing something to eat (I like to experiment in the kitchen), talk and teaching how to resolve the Rubik's cube :)
