ABOUT ME

I am excitable, silly and curious about everything. I feel most alive when I'm out seeing the world, in nature, connecting with people, sharing ideas, creating things and somehow contributing. ..

I have two slightly dangerous addictions - buying books and climbing trees. I can't say no to a used book shop or perfectly-shaped maple. Besides that, I like to spend my time: reading all the books, exploring (forbidden roofs, mountains, prisons). writing (travel stories, my thesis). laughing (uncontrollably). hiking (especially to watch a sunrise after a long night out). cooking and hanging about in kitchens. playing. researching. wandering/ wondering. making maps. staying up all night. having costume parties everywhere i go- oh, and collecting hats! building forts. learning (anything and everything).

BIKE RIDES. collecting maps. getting caught up in books. fika! general decadence. foam and water warfare (the carnival type).

I study anthropology and also love political economy and geography. I have an obsession with maps and directions (I will probably draw you a map at some point). I like researching the flow and transfer of people and ideas around the world. I believe in global citizenship with an emphasis on local, community-based economies. I love cities but also crave nature and think I'll live in the mountains one day on a little farm and grow lots of garlic. I enjoy growing things (and picking things) and getting my hands in the dirt. I love hiking, bonfires and swimming in lakes.
