About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to stay cruisy....I'm travelling alone, on an open ended trip, for the first time. I'm looking forward to seeing, meeting, laughing, funning, playing, swimming, and in the alone times, just getting used to being in my own head...

ABOUT ME

Not sure what to say here.....I can never think of anything funny or clever to say when I am faced with filling out these empty boxes. I'm shy first off, then I laugh and laugh and am obnoxious. If I tease you, it means I really like you. Serious moments and silly moments. i really care about people - people also drive me nuts. I have only been travelling for 3 weeks and I already miss my dog. When I was little I was obsessed with sharks - I think i still am. I love food, cooking and eating. I smoke millions of cigarettes, even though they disgust me. i think I have quite a sweet nature. Would love to work out how to be useful in the world, but keep having the fun.

PHILOSOPHY

personal philosophy - live well and be kind and giggle behind my hand

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Can't say I really have participated at all yet...I have only just signed up, not stayed anywhere, nor hosted anyone. But I plan on sleeping on some strange couches soon, and as soon as I am settled somewhere my couch will be very available.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have now couchsurfed in Romania and Belgium - both have been great experiences with beautiful hosts, who i hope will come and visit my couch in Sydney, when it finally materialises

Interests

food, music, sharks, wine, beer, books, oceans, people, politics, poetry, painting, art, writing, bees, vegetables, fruit, cake, baking, giraffes, buildings, signs and symbols, tattoos (even though mine are average and few), smiles, smells, thinking, giggling, storms

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite movie is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, though I like quite lots of movies. Authors I love include Haruki Murakami, Milan Kundera, Armistead Maupin, Jeanette Winterson, Jonathon Safran Foer, Roald Dahl, Graham Greene, Helen Garner, Bret Easton Ellis, Virginia Woolf, and many more....I love rocknroll, but also some dirty guitar with a country twang, some classical, blues, folk, good pop...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

An octopus whilst I was snorkelling - it was big, its head peering out from the rocks. It was looking at me, I was looking at it....Its gaze looked clever. I wondered what it was thinking. I still wonder whenever I think of it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to cook, and love to cook with other people.
I am totally embarrassed about having only English as a language, so anyone wanting to share time in teaching me any other language...

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary, Indonesia, New Zealand, Romania, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In
