About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To cultivate a variety of experiences which will aid me in becoming the most beautiful person I can possibly be.
ABOUT ME
It's hard to be concise about oneself when you spend a great deal asking yourself "who am I?" And I still don't feel like I quite know, but what I do know is that I hold honesty as the highest of virtues, wide eyed and thirsty for adventure and experiences, I've an open heart to the world. I spend a great deal of time painting and drawing, talking and laughing, dreaming, pondering and have an adoration for silly randomness and minimal electronic music. And cake. I heart cake.
There is a soft and silly side to me, a deeply inquisitive side, a face of great strength, a face of great weakness, and behind any of it a loving heart.
Maybe we could share words over a cup of tea? I adore cups of tea.
PHILOSOPHY
Dance and you'll find out. I breathe in, I breathe out, I feel and move, shake and groove, and somewhere in there it all makes sense.
I believe in being honest even if to a fault, genuine, kind and compassionate, giving, and reaching for all this world has to offer. There's beauty around every corner if you just look hard enough. Generally, I'm an optimist. Occasionally, I get sad too, cynical, and curious and there are moments of doubt. I believe everyone has those times, and I try to stay on the glass is half full side as much as I can.
I'm just a little speck of sand that's been gifted life, and I'm feeling it while I get to!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Maybe. I live in a house of six already! And it's in transition right now. Perhaps maybe, some discussion would have to be had you know?
Otherwise, I'd be a couchsurfer myself. And when I stay, I'm probably willing to do dishes, clean up after myself, share laughs, be nothing less than honest and human. I'm an excellent cook and not too shabby at baking...if time permits ya know? And in exchange, if you host me, I'd probably be willing to take the couch while you take my bed when you come to see Colorado! Because you really should if you haven't yet, it's amazing!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I stayed on two couches in Montreal last year during Mutek. It was a wonderful experience, and the only sad part was that my amazing hosts couldn't come play at the fest quite so much! Perhaps this year I'll find some festival hungry surfers!

Music, Movies, and Books
The Science of Sleep, Garden State, The Last Unicorn, I Heart Huckabees...just a few.
Royksopp, Bjork, Pole, Cobblestone Jazz, Communikey.us, Radiohead, Andrew Bird, Imogen Heap, Devotchka, Postal Service, Motzart, Eluvium, Philip Glass, That One Guy, Silverchair, Ani D, The Field, Apparat, Radical Face, Thomas Fehlmann, The Knife, Minilogue, and lots of other incredibly talented people who made me shake, move, and cry.
On The Road, The Tao of Pooh, Tao Te Ching, Invisible Cities, Me Talk Pretty One Day, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nightime. For the most part I don't actually like to read books....I like to read short stories, articles, and tidbits of information. I believe in reading for sake of answering an inquiry. -Generally. And yet I write, and babble on when I do it. Silly little creative hypocrite when it comes to art I am!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've done and seen a lot of really amazing things.
Last year I moved to The Big Island of Hawaii almost on a random whim, alone, knowing nobody there. What I saw, learned, experienced there are beyond what I'd ever have time to fully articulate.
I've jumped out of an airplane.
I've gone to some sweet music events.
I hiked the Sierra Madres in Puerto Vallarta and drank some of the finest tequilla.
I saw the November Leonid meteor shower of 2002...the sky fell.
I've seen some Carribean Islands.
Laughed. Laughing is pretty much one of the most amazing things I've done.
I saw my friends and community come together to make a festival happen. From that I learned how wonderful community, love, friends, and the sense of family truly is.
Teach, Learn, Share
Things I can do: Knitt, sew, paint(ish), cook, bake, play(ish) guitar, sing...kinda, party, start a camp fire, pitch a tent, type really fast, craft, trouble shoot, decorate, swim, surf(kinda), travel, think.
Things I know maybe a little something about: Nutrition, a tad about philosophy, spiders and various bugs, chess, Hawaii, Colorado, basics of business ethics, astrology, anthropology, good tasting food, creative writing, cooperatives, bits and baubles about history, what it means to share love in a community...though that's always a big thing to learn more about.
What I'd love to learn about: Darned near anything. I actually don't care about how some things work, like my cellphone, for example. Just so long as it works. But, if I was suddenly interesting in learning, I'd absorb the how like a sponge. I like learning...a lot...I just don't always have the attention span to go in too deep you know? I'm working on this.
I'm interested in learning about people! They're a very unique and strange species.
