About Me

I have a bicultural background and it is often easy for me to find something in common with others. I always welcome a good conversation, and I vibe with people who want to see change in the world. I try not to take myself so seriously. Making as many memories with good-hearted people is my goal. Because in the end of the day that is what makes life worth living.

After studying at the university for many years I still feel I do not know anything. There is so much I need to learn (and unlearn) about life and backpacking is really the best schooling I can imagine.

I would like to be a more active member of the couchsurfing community, since i think it is one of the greatest things on the world wide web, promoting culture and community, trust and sharing. Exactly what the world is missing today.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To practice sharing and learning to trust myself
To meet as many free spirits as possible and befriend people with different attitudes and cultural backgrounds
To learn how to travel with little money and reject the capitalist tourism business

Interests

I don't fancy pop/mainstream culture but I like things that are more unique and weird. I feel at home in the underground scene.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: Live music (anything), ambient, traditional /folk/ethno music. I love NPR tiny desk concerts!

MOVIES: Not a big fan of hollywood. I have a MUBI account and I really like their selections. Agnes Varda is my inspiration.

BOOKS: Kurt Vonnegut is my favorite author. I read lots of philosophy and critical theory (mostly post-sctructuralism and phenomenology)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have grown my own food in the yard and I am proud of it

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to play a song on the guitar, or to make a movie with your smartphone

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to share my knowledge of the Persian culture and help you plan a trip to Iran. I can even cook a Persian dish for you.

If you are a writer or an artist I can give you honest feedback on your work.

If i have my camera with me, i can take a nice analogue portrait of you.
