Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living the moment, learning from the past and looking forward to the future.
ABOUT ME
My name is Mehdi, and I am from Algeria. I come from a culture very few people know about. I obviously feel like I should teach everyone I meet about the Amazigh people ( my people.) I attend college in the state of Mississippi as a Biochemistry major, with a minor in environmental studies. I lived about a year in New York, and another in Oklahoma. Every time I have the opportunity, I hit the road seeking the absolute freedom. I don't think there's any better feeling than being on a trip with the sweet taste of adventures; the sweetest taste ever.
My preference in term of destinations is nature, specifically National Parks. I also enjoy meeting different people from different parts of the world.
PHILOSOPHY
Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate in couch surfing by benefiting people who I meet. Many might have never met somebody like me, especially in terms of culture. I come from a multicultural place in which many languages are spoken. Not many people get to meet a Berber man in their lives.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It has been an amazing experience last winter couch surfing for 25 days in Florida, Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas!
Interests
I'm really interested in Nature and the ecosystem. I'm also very interested in cultures and languages. Sports and science complete my liste of what I am interested in.
Music, Movies, and Books
Into the wild, Braveheart, Gladiator, Troy, a beautiful mind
Books: the Alchimist...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visited 13 National Parks in the US. Traveled all around North Africa and Southern Europe. Won twice gold medals in World medical games in track and field.

"Time is but the stream I go a-fishing in. I drink at it; but while I drink I see the sandy bottom and detect how shallow it is. Its thin current slides away, but eternity remains. I would drink deeper; fish in the sky, whose bottom is pebbly with stars. I cannot count one. I know not the first letter of the alphabet. I have always been regretting that I was not as wise as the day I was born. The intellect is a cleaver; it discerns and rifts its way into the secret of things. I do not wish to be any more busy with my hands than is necessary." -Thoreau-
