Hello, my name is Mehmet Beşir from Turkey.

I finally started my long-dreamed Asia trip. And my excitement is growing every day. And the people I met on the road contributed greatly to this. I am a person who wants to talk to people, get to know new cultures, try new tastes, and make new friends. You will notice this from the first moment we meet, without any words :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Everyone loves to travel, but what each person understands from travel is very different. Some prefer to stay in 5-star hotels, some like to travel with big tours, some like to go only to the touristic places of the places they visit. But I want to know the cultures of the places I visit and I think Couchsurfing is a great place to get to know new cultures more deeply.

Also Before starting on my journey, I learned that the stories I want to live are far more exciting than the beautiful landscapes I've dreamed of. The stories of people on the road, the stories of people I meet along the way. And Couchsurfing is the perfect place to collect these stories. That's why I sincerely want to experience Couchsurfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was hitchhiking from Thailand to Laos then after passing to passport control ı keep continue hichiking in laos. After a while one women stop and took me. I was trying to catch the slow boat but ıt was late. Then the women ask me to I'm going to the village wedding : Do you want to come with me? I said yes. Then ı went with her. But I didn't know how crazy is laos wedding. So in the first hour of landing to the new country I went to the weeding. It was amazing :)
