About Me

Hey there! I’m Mehran, originally from Iran and currently living in beautiful Vancouver, Canada. I’m a technician by day, and an explorer at heart. I love meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and sharing stories over good coffee or a walk around town.

I’m easygoing, respectful, and always up for meaningful conversations or spontaneous adventures. I believe Couchsurfing isn’t just about a place to stay—it’s about connection, kindness, and creating memories together.

When I’m not working, I enjoy hiking, tinkering with tech and robotics, or discovering local gems around the city. I’m always happy to help out, whether it’s fixing something around the house or showing you around town.

Looking forward to meeting amazing souls from around the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, Couchsurfing is all about human connection. I’m not here just to find a free place to stay or host someone—I’m here to meet people with open hearts and curious minds. I believe the best way to experience a place is through its people, their stories, and the kindness we share.

Whether it’s over a meal, a walk, or just late-night chats, I love the idea of exchanging cultures, ideas, and experiences in a real and personal way.

Interests

I’m passionate about technology, robotics, and anything that sparks curiosity. I love exploring new places, meeting people from different cultures, and learning how others see the world. I’m also into hiking, photography, playing around with gadgets, and drinking way too much coffee.

I enjoy meaningful conversations, road trips with good music, and trying new foods (especially anything homemade). Lately, I’ve also been getting more into books about personal growth, psychology, and philosophy.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I listen to a bit of everything depending on the vibe—Persian classics, deep house, chill lo-fi, and sometimes even gospel or indie rock. Music is my therapy and travel buddy.

Movies: I’m a fan of anything that makes me think or feel deeply—like The Pursuit of Happyness, Inception, Into the Wild, and The Intouchables. I also enjoy documentaries and well-made thrillers.

Books: I enjoy books that expand the mind or touch the soul. Favorites include The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl, and anything about psychology, philosophy, or personal growth.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I left everything behind in Iran to start a new life in Canada, chasing a dream with nothing but courage and a suitcase. It’s been a wild journey—full of challenges, growth, and unexpected friendships—but it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. It taught me that home isn’t a place—it’s the people you meet along the way.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach you how to install home appliances like a pro, fix small things around the house, or even share some basics of robotics and AI (yep, I’m into that too!). I’d also love to teach you some Persian words, phrases, and maybe even how to make a mean cup of Persian tea.

Learn: I’m always curious about new cultures, languages, and ways of thinking. I’d love to learn about your traditions, recipes, life philosophy, or even random skills—like playing a new instrument or dancing a traditional dance.

Share: I can share stories from my journey, good food, laughs, and real conversation. And if you’re in my city, I’d be happy to show you around like a local!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m always happy to lend a hand—whether it’s fixing something around the house, cooking a simple Persian dish, or just bringing good vibes and meaningful conversation. I can also share stories from my journey from Iran to Canada, tips on home appliance installation (if you’re into that!), and a bit of Persian culture and language.

And of course, I’ll always bring respect, cleanliness, and gratitude to your home.
