My upbringing and ethnicity is an amalgamation of different cultures and places, and I see the world through this kaleidoscope. I love long walks and conversations with interesting strangers, some of which have turned into excellent friendships. I find human behaviour endlessly fascinating, and enjoy phenomenological, ethnographic as well as very quantitative perspectives on it.

I am a Clinical Psychologist by profession, but travelling and being in a continuous state of change and movement is my life’s philosophy.

I practice vegetarianism. I also like to follow principles of minimalism and stoicism.

It's always about the people more than the place. I believe in experiential and authentic travel experiences. To me, the most meaningful experience of traveling comes from interacting with the people that represent a place, and how their culture shapes them to become what they are. Couchsurfing is a wonderful platform to support this interaction.

I like a little bit of everything; music, literature, history, art and photography. But mostly, I'm a philosopher and a nature lover at heart.

Music: I listen to a lot of new music, Alternative and Indie Rock are my current favourite genres. I also like Downtempo, and Ambient and Deep House.

Movies: I am not very choosy about movies and probably the list is too long and varied to mention here. But some of my favourite directors include Richard Linklater, Asghar Farhadi, Anurag Kashyap, Quentin Tarantino, Charlie Kaufman, Darren Aranosfky, and others.

Books: I am a sucker for Russian classics, and existentialist literature. Dostoyevsky, Sartre, Camus, Kafka, Kundera and Murakami are my favourites.

I've lived with a Bedouin family in the Wadi Rum desert, taught English to Vietnamese children, learned diving in the Red Sea, skinny dipped in snow capped Himalayan springs, hitchhiked across Eastern Turkey, camped in the islands of Persia, partied with the Konyak tribes, watched the Northern Lights from a Russian village.
