Hola! My name is Mehul, but my family call me Golu, which in Hindi which means 'fat and round!' - because of my love for food and cooking :)

I'm from a few places - I grew up in India, migrated with my family to Melbourne, Australia when I was 13, and over the last year have been travelling, studying my Masters and doing research in London.

I love dancing, eating, yoga and meeting new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, it's the people that make my travel experience special. Being invited into someone's home can be a very authentic way to understand that culture. I have been very grateful of such opportunities in the past through study exchanges and overseas friends, and I am now keen to try couch-surfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This year, I am running charity Bollywood dance workshops - all money raised goes to helping young girls in rural India access education.

Teach, Learn, Share

Dancing - trust me, I can help you move, let go and have fun with music! I have taught over 200 workshops over the last 9 years :)

Yoga - something I have developing and would be keen to learn and share more of. I have been practising for the last 3 years, including an intensive course in Rishikesh, India earlier this year.

Cooking - I am open to learning and sharing new recipes and cooking for you/together.
