ABOUT ME
Let's see... I went to art school, so I love me some art. I am an avid polaroider. I love traveling, I've backpacked in Australia, and most recently went to France for a wedding, which was lovely but rather a pricey jaunt. I love visiting museums (though I always want to take a nap afterwards, not sure why), listening to music - newest addition to my ipod is Crystal Castles, watching movies, and the usuals, chillin' with my friends. One of my favorite things while I was in Paris with my friend was drinking wine, everywhere! on a river boat, on a bridge, in front of the Eiffel Tower, etc.
When I travel I really like taking in the atmosphere of a place, especially the hustle and bustle of marketplaces, the architecture, the environment. I just love seeing new places and taking pictures! I also like going on runs in the places I go, it's a great way to really see an area, but you have to be careful not to get distracted or you might get lost.
Well, I am super excited to be traveling to Israel! I have been studying Hebrew for the past year which is really hard, but I love it. I will be participating in a volunteer program, but will be arriving a few weeks early all on my lonesome and found this site whilst perusing the web and thought, wow this could really be a great thing to participate in.
And I am a bit of a random rambler as seen above. I also like meandering around of the web and perusing facebook to see what my friends are up to.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that what you put out there comes back to you and have personally had way too many coincidences to believe that we aren't all connected. And also that you always run into the randomness people at the most unexpected times. I want to see more and do more, meet new people and expand my personal horizon. I firmly believe in being honorable and true to your word. I love the exchange of ideas and life stories and think that the more you travel the more you shape not only the world and other people but your own story.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love movies, all sorts, especially smaller independent movies, particularly from Germany and France, but I am totally not highbrow and find plenty of enjoyment in mainstream comedy, action, and particularly sci-fi, which is a guilty pleasure. I don't watch much tv, but I also really enjoy comedy, like 30 Rock.
I listen to lots of music, I am not too particular, I like most things, most recent new faves are Crystal Castles and Metric, but I usually can't remember what I am listening too and often get a song stuck in my head that I can not only not hum the right tune too but can't remember the actual words, but I'd know it if I heard it.
I really enjoy reading, but confess that I do not do it nearly enough, I usually will just read whatever I borrow from other people.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Favorite places I've seen/thinks I've done:
- Wandering Paris with my friend and seeing how many monuments we could take naps in front of
- Seeing the Eiffel Tower sparking up like a Christmas tree on crack at night
- Hanging out and just relaxing on the beautiful beaches of Sydney
- Going on a helicopter ride to the top of a glacier mountain in New Zealand
- Seeing the rain forest in Australia and taking one of the most favorite photos I have ever taken of a green river with giant humpback white rocks
- Going hang-gliding in New Zealand (particularly since I am terrified of heights)
- Learning how to cook on a farmhouse in the South of France
And I am sure there are more, but that was what I thought of from the top of my head.
