Overview
About Me
My motto: Perception is key to how you experience life.
Also: Be open to learning and to the things that are different. You will grow for the better.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, but have lived in Michigan and upstate New York for college and graduate school, respectively. I work as an art therapist.
I love to travel and meet people of different cultures. I relish genuineness and stimulating conversations. I love laughing and enjoy spending my time with people who can see the humor in life. I like to think of myself as positive, funny, open-minded, compassionate, accepting, artsy, and an Earth-lover.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: These is very difficult for me to answer. I have a huge encyclopedia of music in my brain. I can tell you that I don't like music with screaming, whining, and intolerant words.
Some of my favorite artists include Simon and Garfunkel, Fleet Foxes, Nick Drake, Vashti Bunyan, Oy Va Voi, Gipsy Kings, Van Morrison, Leonard Cohen, Roy Orbison, Pepper Proud, Marie Sioux, Roy Orbison, Asa, Valerie June, Devandra Banhart, Josephine Foster, Parov Stelar...and so much more!
I welcome music recommendations.
Love Film. Some of the favorites: American Beauty, Sunset Blvd., Little Miss Sunshine, Blue Velvet, Fargo, Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, Edward Scissorhands, Toy Story...again, so much
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Fell twenty feet (6 meters) down a waterfall in Japan and somehow managed to survive. Just multiple foot surgeries and learning to walk again.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach, learn, and share...it is how I live. Life is better when one is open to such things. I will happily converse on my experiences (the good, the bad, and the ugly) because no matter the experience, I have grown from them.
If we meet, I will want to learn all about your culture.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I currently do not live in a place where I can host (i.e. my roommates are not okay with it). Hopefully, I will be able to host in the near future.
