HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not here to tell you what *I* want out of this - this is your trip, so I'm not gonna put conditions on your stay. Many people on this site demand that you stay for at least two days to get to know you, and others keep reminding you in their profile that "CS is not about free accommodation". I don't believe in crap like that - it's not my place to dictate what you will gain from your stay here - that's up to you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been lucky enough to host people from all over the shop - New Zealand, Canada, Colombia, USA, Australia, and many countries in Europe. It has enriched my knowledge and understanding of the cultures of these countries, but also I have heard many great travelling tales.

Through CS, it's a wonderful thing to be able to give to someone what they would never find in any book, tour guide or Tourist Information Centre.

Many people of very different personalities have passed through my house, but the one thing that is common throughout is trust. And that is a beatutiful thing.

I have done a little bit of surfing too, staying with hosts in London, Beijing, and Agadir (Morocco).
