About Me

Exploring the unknown.... and the closer i get the more unknowns i find to explore. I'm a curious person always open to learn new things. After working as a mechanical for some years i became more and more interested in how the world around me is working. This is how i started my studies as environmental engineer and what still interests me in engineering Waste water treatment plants (my current job).

In great words:
I have a great interest in understanding interactions of humans with the natural and built environment. Those questions especially drive me around when i travel since often things appear different from what i expect based on media other other sources at home ;)

what really happens everyday:
I always have many construction and experimental projects going on mostly in the workshop or the kitchen. (At the moment sourdough bread is my passion ;) ) However, this can change from one to the other day depending on when the next idea knocks my door... The overflow of ideas make me a quite busy person not even tallking about all the running, climbing, hiking, swimming, skiing, diving and tennis playing i want to do. Luckily, i accepted that not everyting must be done at once, so just hanging out and having a drink is something i'm always up to!

fun fact:
I'm magically fascianted by lakes, rivers, the sea and all creatures living in it. On every bridge i cross i will look down to spot some fishes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing gave me the possiblity to meet the people who are living at places you would normally only walk over when coming to a new place. Getting in touch with other surfers gave me the chance to get questions answerd from a friend and not any official statement from a tourist guide.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm looking forward to share one or the other funny story from home or abroad. The swiss chocolate has unfortunatel melted away but i'm up everytime for a cooking session and sharing some recepies from home.
For the current trip i have elaborate photgraphic gear with me (for the nerds: Minolta 58mm f1.2 with an Alpha 7). One of my ideas is to portrait characters along my way wich might be you if you are interested. This would then also leave back some hopefully nice photos for you.
