About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to be happy for all my life and I want to visit as many countries as I can

ABOUT ME

I´ve travelled to Earth´s paradises and hells, and I´ve visited several corners of the human mind. I´ve been deep down under and I´ve been close to the top of the world in every sense... and fortunately everywhere I´ve been I met the loveliest people who have stepped on this earth! I discovered that they come in all different forms, and although they never met they had so much in common... they were all greater than the best in me. They showed me the true treasures in life: gentleness, kindness, companionship, caring, understanding, patience, strength, courage, supportiveness, faith, hope, sincerity, respect and responsibility. Most will never know how important they were to me... because the opportunity to thank passes before the lesson is learned. Some are still by my side, and I watch them in silent admiration. I feel lucky to have lived my life, full of options, opportunities, challenges, dreams, and unusual experiences. I´ve loved and been loved. I can smile at my mistakes, and work out my errors, always in search of a better me. I can shrug off the establishment and shred off layers of myself that have become too heavy to carry. I can follow the steps of those who had the courage to open new trails, and I can open up my own paths as I go...stopping to rest, cry or laugh, as I please. It is not in me to accept or conform, but to question and to continue my search for improvement. I admire those in Dogville who have the courage to unwrap themselves like easy prey to the predators, exposing their most inner deformities, and with humility accepting being remolded by the hands of the creator. I look down upon those who hide behind masks, and take the easy route, living in hypocrisy and pre-established societal norms. Or those who prefer to learn the dirty lessons instead of nourishing the seeds of goodness. I am glad I have also met the coward and the egocentric. Their function is of contrast, to heighten the light of the brighter souls that surround me. I am battling my war against excuses and so far I am losing. I have dreamed and with way too much courage have gone after most of my dreams, and have learned that in this world, what you see is not what you get. A superficial glance is for the average. Tear off the layers and what you see will be disturbing at first but extremely rewarding at last. Observe those around you, the greater the ignorance, the less the humility. To feel is not something to be ashamed of... to feel is to live. To comprehend what others are feeling and thus develop compassion is a beautiful miracle scarce in this "developing" world. Now, to feel love for oneself, that is our greatest and utmost challenge. So before you go around thinking you can change the world, ask yourself, have you truly begun changing yourself? I haven´t.

PHILOSOPHY

The speed and direction of our path through life are pretty good measures of our age. We race headlong through childhood, never looking back. Wanting it to end as quickly as possible. As we get older, we occasionally slow down long enough to savor certain moments. It's a sure sign of growing up. It's only in our twilight years when our pace is slowed and the long race is nearing the end that we spend most of our time looking backwards, and we wonder why we were ever in such a hurry.

Sometimes it's easier to pretend things are okay rather than face a difficult truth. So we go through the motions, the rituals of everyday life. We hope the comfortable rythyms of familiarity will hold off the inevitable just a little longer. Return things to normal...anything to buy us more time. Playing pretend, make believe - it might be one thing we never outgrow.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading!!! It´s hard to list all the books I love.
Music: mostly rock and roll! Some pop and disco too.
Movies: It depends on my humor.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being part of the Pan American Games workers was the most amazing experience I´ve ever had. Not only because I was far away from home, but because I was working with the Puerto Rico team and knowing their culture better.
Can you image entering inside Maracanã and having all those flash photographies for you???

Countries I’ve Visited
