Overview
About Me
Currently I live in Albuquerque, NM with my boyfriend and our 3 dogs. We are both severs and I am also a bartender. We plan on moving to Ohio, where I am originally from, this summer.
I've lived in Albuquerque for 6 years now, but the first three I was back and forth between here and Columbus, OH. Also during those first three years, one of those years I had lived in Alaska.
I will going back to college once we move to Ohio and I plan on pursuing a career in Engineering.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I heard about this site from my best friend and I trust her judgement, so I'm on here looking to stay with people while we drive back to Ohio in August.
We plan on making 4 stops, 5 if necessary. The first around Dallas, TX, then New Orleans, LA, Jacksonville, FL, Myrtle Beach, SC and Concord, NC.
I plan on shipping everything we own and just driving ourselves and our dogs back home. I want to be able to save money on this trip and that's the main reason for joining CouchSurfing. I also love meeting new people!
I'm not sure if dogs are allowed to stay with us while couch surfing, but I will cross that bridge when I come to it. They're all small dogs, under 15lbs. They're potty trained and super friendly!
Interests
I honestly enjoy working. I miss going to school so I can't wait to get back into the swing of things. I love hanging out with my boyfriend and our families. Our friends are important to us as well. We love movies, music, cooking, playing with our nephew and watching him grow. We also share a love for football. Mainly NFL, but he loves my college team by default.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all types of music. I grew up with country, so I would have to say that's my favorite. I also grew up listening to my parents music such as: The Cure, The Eagles, Journey, AC/DC, etc. I also enjoy listening to classical music. It can be very relaxing.
Same goes for movies. I love them all. Horror, comedy, romance, drama, action. I'm open to pretty much anything. I take after my dad for my love of movies.
I wish I read more than I do now. There are a few books that have made my list of favorites. The Divergent and The Hunger Games series are a couple.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was a senior in high school, we traveled to Costa Rica with our class. Out of 32 kids in my graduating class, only a few didn't go with us. While we were down there, we were able to work with a group to help rebuild a local church and play with some kids in the area. It was a very humbling experience for all of us. The living conditions weren't what we expected. They didn't have much and could barely speak English, but the kids were still so happy to spend time with us. I'm glad we were able to make the kids smile and help them out, even if it was just for one day out of our visit.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to teach my younger sisters and cousins along the way. I like to try and give them the best advice I can and be the best role model for them.
I would love to continue to learn patience. As I am getting older, I am realizing to be more patient and understanding.
I can share my interests and hobbies with others. I also like to share my insight and my opinion, when it's appropriate of course.
I personally don't think I have a lot to teach, learn or share, but I know my boyfriend would tell me differently. He is definitely my biggest fan and I learn from him every day.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I think I can share my sense of humor. I love to laugh and I can be sarcastic and goofy, but I also know when to be professional and respectful. I'm a libra, so I feel like I am a pretty well-balanced person. I'm still growing as a person and learning how to be better in the future. I guess that's all part of the journey!
