ABOUT ME
I just got back home from travelling the world for a year. I slept on many a couch, dragging my body all over Europe, and eventually to blessed India. It was a crazy year of growing, learning, loving, leaving, helping, giving, recieving, pain, friendship, adventure, danger, and transformation. Now I've gotten the strong message in meditation that I need to be home, and get a job, and so here I've found myself trying to embrace home with the same adventure girl spirit and working the most rockin' job with homeless teens.
I'd love to give back some of that great hosting karma that I recieved from so many wonderful people around the world.
I live about 30 minutes from Seattle, so I know it won't be most people's first choice. But, our area is pretty as well, and Seattle isn't hard to get to. Any time I'm not working I'd love to adventure with you, and am totally down to drive to Seattle. My favorite things to do around here are things like kick ass northwest hikes, exploring the city, eating at yummy places, enjoying activities on the lake, going to the beach (summer or winter), bike riding or roller blading on the awesome trail, going to meditation/spiritual meet up groups, and cooking with our amazing local food.
PHILOSOPHY
I truly believe that you create your own universe. I'm working on making mine the most kick-ass version of life possible, while simultanesouly dedicating my life to others.
"We think that the point is to pass the test or to overcome the problem, but the truth is that things don't really get solved. They come together and they fall apart. Then they come together again and fall apart again. It's just like that. The healing comes from letting there be room for all of this to happen: room for grief, for relief, for misery, for joy." - Pema Chodron
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I used to share a couch surfing profile with a friend:

here you can scroll down and see the references people left for the two of us.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My friend and I used couch surfing a lot in our travels in Europe. We stayed with people in Germany, Ireland, Belgium, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Ireland. Each person was totally different, some certifiably nuts, but I loved the unique experience that each host provided.
I really appreciated people's insane generosity, like cooking us multiple meals, letting us stay extra nights, revolving their lifes around us, bringing us out with their friends, etc. It makes long-term travelling so nice when you feel like you have a place you can be comfortable and have fun. I can't wait to give some of that back to other travellers.
Interests
My main interests are things like Yoga, and Meditation. India completley restructured my life in this way. I'd love to do some together if you're into that. :) I also love almost everything else. Any outside activity, anything adventourous, hiking, biking, running, roller blading, swimming (even in freezing water), volunteering, learning new things, talking about and supporting awesome causes, adventurous and challenging vegan cooking, going out, settlers of catan, music (duh, this is Seattle after all), walking ...etc..etc..etc..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the first days I was in India I was walking down a dirty farm road, with smells, and noise, and naked beautiful dirty children who have 4 barely standing up walls for a house. In one of those rare present moments life suddenly seemed to slow down, and I turned around and I saw the Indian sun preparing to set. The most firey red, huge ball of beauty I have ever seen and I knew in that moment that this was the country of my soul and that I would never ever forget what that sunset looked like-- and I never have.
