I am Mekonen, I was born and raised in Omo Valley area specifically in Key Afer in 1992 European Calendar. As a young boy I grew up following the footsteps of Tourists coming to my doorstep which gave me the inspiration to chase a dream of becoming a traveler myself as well as a tour related service provider with a need to discover more and more of my own country first. To realize this dream of mine come true I self sponsored my education since young age and joined a reputed Hotel and Tourism college in the Capital Addis some 715Kms away from my tiny village and got graduated with an honor in Tour operation and guiding Diploma. I have traveled to 3 countries Kenya,Tanzania, and China almost for a period of Four years invited by friends who came to Ethiopia to get my services for they knew that i like meeting new people from different cultural backgrounds and places. I have a number good life philosophies I am ready and open handed to share. Love and Respect is my Language and I invite the whole world to come and connected to a new dimension of a beautiful human life!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing because I found it extremely useful for creating a positively united global community through the opportunity it creates for a beautiful and useful interaction. I am an experienced Driver guide who have quite an excellent knowledge of my country Ethiopia all over the Four corners which gave me the chance to meet different people from a diversified culture. And I am ready to give this practical knowledge that experience has equipped me to the world at large with an unforgettable hospitality you can't wait to come and witness.

I like to meet different people from all over the world for i believe that we are all from the same source and share infinite common values. I like to read and discuss with anyone interested around me. I am the member of one of the Unique Tribal communities in the OMO VALLEY of Ethiopia and grew up wandering the village life of these beautiful people. And i feel good to talk about amazing stories of these people i grew up walking. Traveling around to places and discovering new things. sharing life experience. and some entertainment as such Music and National Geographic nature serious.

I am also quite an open minded person to share everything i have in my life that i found it proper and useful for my respected clients.
