About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see and experience new people, places, and cultures while meeting great people!

ABOUT ME

I'm friendly and down to earth and enjoy meeting people from any region, nationality and background. We all have things in common :)

I love to hike, camp, practice yoga, and see live music. I'd be happy to take couchsurfers to one of the great local breweries in town, too.

PHILOSOPHY

I strive to treat others how I'd want to be treated. I believe we all deserve dignity and respect and that we all have something of value to contribute.

A good life is equal parts giving back to your community and future generations, personal responsibility and having as much fun as you can in the process.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host when I can, use the network when I travel, and I tell people how great my couchsurfing experiences have been! The hangout feature is fun, too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The first time I couch surfed I had a great time. Our hosts were wonderful! I was amazed at what a gift it is when someone opens their home to a complete stranger. The level of trust within this community is a gift and proves that people are motivated by kindness, connection, and sharing!

What I love most about couchsurfing is that it is outside the realm of the cash economy. Hosting requires willingness to help others in need of a bed and an openness to sharing your space with new people. There is such a great spirit behind couch surfing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to Burning Man 2008 was an incredible experience. I hope to make it back someday.

Also, I've been tandem skydiving a few times and can't wait to jump solo someday!

Went on a 3 day wilderness solo in the summer of 2010 as part of my gaduate program.

Teach, Learn, Share

Would love to learn more about gardening and permaculture. Willing to help hosts with various projects as time allows.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Local knowledge - I've got brewery, hiking, and hot springs recommendations.

Countries I’ve Visited

Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico
