About Me

Hello! I’m queer and introverted, me and my partner live in rural NS and live a quiet life working our day jobs, tending to our chickens, and sitting on the porch.

I used Couchsurfing when I was younger and had such a great time, I want to repay the favour. If anyone wants a quiet place to get a good nights sleep, use the internet, or take a shower, come on by. There’s a pretty nice waterfall nearby, we can have a picnic and go for a swim.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used it when I was travelling and my partner and I like hosting people. We’ve picked up a hitchhiker here and there, and have friends who are travellers so we have people coming by now and again anyway.

Interests

Eating, gardening, needlepoint, swimming, hiking, chickens, plants, art, art history, taking it easy.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lately been listening to a lot of folk, old country, basically sad songs with banjo. I like punk, alternative indie/grunge kinda stuff, anything with weird chords and off key singing. I have a soft spot for Harry Styles, my go-to is often old funk and soul playlists. I’ll listen to whatever, I’m usually just happy to have some background noise.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favourite memories was staying on an little island off the coast of Norway and my host took me crab fishing in his boat. Picking crabs out of the trap and having a feast after was so good.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a lot of plants inside my house and in the garden. I know I lot about pottery, making, craft history. I’m learning more about chickens every day, and currently learning about needlepoint and how to relax.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A bed (a real-deal bed with a mattress), a shower, internet, a place to kinda catch your breath before your next adventure. Plan on feeding yourself, and stay up to three nights. We have a dog and a cat, they’re both friendly and affectionate. I’ll even give you a review after your stay so you can get that sweet, sweet Couchsurfing cred.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Germany, Hungary, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
