My name is Melisa Sedas García, currently living in Mexico City. I studied Organizational Psychology (basically HR) and my last job was at a makeup company in Sales & Marketing , which I resigned to start traveling!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I´m doing a 1 month trip to Europe! I´m visiting Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Czech Republic.

Hoping to meet interesting people who I can share my trip with and to make new friends, but also to challenge myself to experience something new and different (don´t say no just because it sounds scary!)

Interests

People say I´m a boy inside... can´t say no to a videogame match! (At the moment, I own a Nintendo Wii, N 64, Play Station 2, PS 3 and a PSP)

I love watching NFL footbal, I´m the kind of person who yells at the tv and my dream is to have a cheesehead hat (yup, I´m a Green Bay Packers fan)

I´ve practiced a lot of sports in my life, like football, basketball, swimming, tennis, tae kwon do, I played volleyball many years and more recently, I try to run every day and I used to practice Krav Maga. I´m sure I wouldn´t be able to kill a fly but I can show you some moves!

I love dogs, had a eat-it-all Golden Retriever and I can share a lot of funny experiences I had with him.

Other things I´m interested in is art, reading, psychology, beer and music (used to sing in a band).

My favorite music is alternative rock or indie (Garbage, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, NIN, Queens of the Stone Age, Metric, Radiohead, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Catpower)

Favorite movie ever: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Others are Donnie Drako, Big Fish and every horror movie that has ever existed (yes, including the very bad ones)

Favorite books: everything I get to read from Stephen King and Ender´s Game

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Give chinese classes in college (not as hard as everyone thinks)
I´ve won many volleyball tournaments
In college I volunteered in a juvenile reformatory and gave classes in a public school

What I Can Share with Hosts

Everything about Mexican culture! And probably some mexican candy as well (you wouldn´t want to miss them)

Girls I can give you a makeup lesson! Guys, I can play really well videogames (love Resident evil, Final Fantasy, Borderlands, Guitar Hero, Smash Brothers, Mario...), I can share a beer and we can watch NFL games.
