Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend of mine whom I went to Iceland with is a big Couchsurfing enthusiast and he told me about this community.

I love to travel but while I am comfortable traveling alone, I would rather have a companion... My current work schedule often doesn't allow for planned trip with my friends, so I thought what better way to connect with the locals who are fun, easy-going, interesting people than at Couchsurfing?

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Electronica (Air, Thievery Corporation, etc.), Dance (Daft Punk, Kevin Yost, etc.) Classical (Chopin, Liszt, Mozart -- who doesn't like Mozart anyway?), Jazz (Thelonious Monk, Count Basie, Pat Metheny, etc.) and many, many more.

I love music and will listen to various genre. One of my favorite things to do while traveling is to listen to local radio, scroll through the stations and get the "flavor" of the area by the type of music/talks that are broadcasted.

Movies: Grand Hotel Budapest, Ida, La Grande Bellezza, Pulp Fiction... Woody Allen's movies.

Books: I mainly read non-fiction.

Magazines: The Economist, The New Yorker, Monocle, Wired, design magazines...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hm... Not sure if this counts as amazing, but I did try to camp in the snow at Mount Hood in Oregon, USA. It wasn't successful, so me and my friend went to a motel the next day... Lol.
