CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to eventually start an international non-profit organization (NGO) or work for one I really love. I would love to help make a difference in someones life, even if it is just one person.

ABOUT ME

I am usually very busy but the summer is a good time to do fun things here. We like to do all sorts of things; drumming, camping, watching documentaries, being active in the community etc. I love to talk about social issues, human beings are fascinating. I am interning in refugee resettlement this year and I am sure it will be very interesting, and humbling. I want to go everywhere in the world. My next trip, I hope, will be to Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Israel/Palestine, and Egypt.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't judge people's actions to quickly, you may not understand where they are coming from and try to do something nice for strangers and those you love whenever you can.

Unfortunately I haven't had much time lately to do a lot with CS but hopefully again in the future. Thanks you to all those that have let us sleep on their floors and couches :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed in various places, mostly in Europe. We met amazing people who were kind enough to let us stay with them and give us a much better experience than just staying in hotels or hostels.

Interests

So many things...politics, being active in the community, people, making things instead of buying them (we recently got some power tools :), traveling, obviously, camping, drumming, giving, having fun!

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh, all kinds of things. Many different interests in music. I've been reading way to much academic stuff so when I can read for me I like fiction or semi-nonfiction like Kiterunner or Reading Lolita in Tehran. I'm a HUGE dork and love Harry Potter. We watch movies religiously.

I have studied a lot about social issues, particularly in the US. I am always into talking about religious, political issues, even if others aren't so much. I love to learn about other people.
Even though I don't do it much anymore, I can still spin poi and drum.
My goal when I'm done with school is to finally become fluent in Spanish.
