About Me
Ahh let's see... I just graduated from the University of Alabama in May (roll tide!!) with a degree in Biology. I'm currently in the process of applying to dental school and decided to take a gap year to do so. I stumbled across this site a while ago and have found myself a bit obsessed. It's so entertaining! I love traveling and meeting new people- I guess it's about time I give this thing a go.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My family loves to travel- we've been everywhere from the Caribbean to Europe and back again. I actually spent the past 6 months in Europe, exploring and meeting new people. Ever since, I've caught a case of the travel bug, and have been dying to travel just about everywhere that I can. I'm a very outgoing person and love getting to know people from all sorts of backgrounds. That being said, why wouldn't I be on couchsurfing? I mean, what could be better than having best friends from all around the world?
Interests
I have many, many interests. Some of my favorites include cooking (or attempting to cook), traveling, and being outdoors. I'm a very active person and love playing all types of sports (soccer and tennis primarily). I enjoy being around friends and family and especially love making people laugh. A good drink every now and then never hurts either.

Music, Movies, and Books
These were always the hardest questions for me to answer. I don't watch a lot of TV, so I'm down to watch just about anything. But when I do watch, I binge like crazy. I think I finished Black Mirror in 2 weeks?? Maybe less. I'm obsessed with music. I listen to country, pop, rap, everything. When I get the chance, I love to read. Once I pick up a book I usually won't put it down until I've finished reading it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bought a one-way ticket to Rome without knowing a single person or a bit of Italian. Ended up spending 3 months there and 3 more months in London. Best experience ever.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm still fairly young so I probably couldn't offer you the best advice on life, as I'm still trying to figure it out myself. However, one of my favorite pieces of advice is to train your mind to see the good in everything- the happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts. It's hard to live a positive life when you harbor a negative mind.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I think the best thing about this site is getting the opportunity to hang out with the hosts, no matter where they may live. I'm not afraid to go out into the city and experience it from a local's approach. I'll do my best to be a gracious visitor, and keep you laughing. Oh, and I bet you won't be able to get enough of my southern accent!
