Hello everyone!! :) I am Melanie from Austria. Currently I am living in Vienna - I just love that city! :) Originally I am from the southern part of Austria - where all the vineyards are - delish ;) But after my gap year (travelling through Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand (I still can't believe I actually did that!!!) I decided to move back to Austria - where else than Vienna. ;)
Before we started our travels I lived in the United Kingdom for 1,5 years and absolutely loved it!

I think staying with locals helps soo much more to understand the culture and to get to know the country better.

I am very much interested in other cultures, people and countries - I love to explore, get lost and find my way again in an unknown place.
I am very outgoing, open-minded person - who loves to do as many new things as possible ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As mentioned above we are on couchsurfing because we want to get to know the life of the locals and the culture of the country. As I love meeting other people - it is the perfect way to get to know each other and the culture.

One of my hobbies is to take photographs (however I still need to practice a lot) I also love music.

I like indie music and soft rock, also I like to listen to the charts sometimes. I enjoy books about the countries I am travelling to, to learn about the culture.
