About Me

Hello,

My name is Mélanie, I live in Montpellier (which is one of my favourite place on earth) where I've studied sustainable agonomy and rural development in developing countries. So, thanks to my studies, I had the chance to travel and work in different places, meet different people and culture, and learn from all of these experiences.

Now, I'm less of a traveler I'd say, as I enjoy creating my life somewhere, I enjoy sincere and longlasting relationship with my friends and I also have a band in Montpellier (big fan of music an singer here!)

I love being outside, especially at the river or the sea, and in the evening I can't lie, I usually fancy a beer or two at the local pubs !

If we meet, I'll be happy to show you around, share conversation around a drink, and, I'm not a great cook but my roomates are, so, dinner's on us !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I know how complicated travelling can be, so I'm happy to help with accomodation, company, tips and everything I can.
I'm also more than happy to learn from other people experiences, and meet new human beings, but don't want to force never ending conversations to my guest. Sometimes, we don't feel like it and it's okay !

Music, Movies, and Books

Big fan of Jazz, Soul and everything that shows on "tiny desk concert" on NPR. I could listen to Some unholy war from Amy Winehouse forever.

I am the kind of person who cries while reading "Of Mice and Men" and Naomi Kein's books, but also when people die in "Harry Potter" and GoT. My favourite book would be le quatrième mur from Sorj Chalandon

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once woke up and put the milk before my cereals

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't have the pretension to teach you anything but share experiences, show you around town, give you tips, etc.
I sing, but a terrible guitar player, and I'd love to learn
