My name is Melanie and i´m living in Giessen since I started my studies of nutritional sciences in 2011. Since June of this year I have my Master´s degree and looking forward to do my Ph. D. in the following years.

I would characterise myself as a kind, reliable and open-minded person, who tries to enjoy the life in every little moment.

While travelling I love to experience new places and getting to know new cultures. Especially because of my passion for cooking i´m curious about the flavour of other cultures of the world. While travelling it is also very important for me to be in contact with the nature. Doing little hiking tours or day trips into the rural areas of a county give me the possibility to enjoy the silence and to relax.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is one of the best ways getting to know new people, their coutry and culture. It is a blessing to be welcomed in one´s household and learn about his or her life. Especially as tourist I enjoy this closeness to the locals and all the great suggests and insider-information they are sharing with me.
