Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The exchange of cultures and friendships are definitely the main reasons couch-surfing is so appealing!

My first couch-surfing experience was really formidable (I piggy-backed on my sister's couch surfing account) that we wanted to give back and open our place to others. However, life took me to Vancouver for about 2 years. While my sister hosted a lot of people at our place, I lived vicariously through her and hosted with her when I came back home to visit. Now that I'm back in Montreal, I want to take some of the reins before I move away again for graduate school in September!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Inspired by Christopher McCandless' story, I isolated myself for about a week and half (no human contact, no phones/computers) for a personal project at school in order to grasp a better understanding of the concept of solitude.

It was an amazing introspective journey, away from society's pressures, but as Chris said: "Happiness is only real when shared."

Teach, Learn, Share

Interested in learning salsa, bachata, or blues dance moves? I can only teach the very basic steps.
I wouldn't mind jamming together on a guitar either if the opportunity presents itself!
And I can teach you a few words in American Sign Language too if you feel like learning something new :)

I am continually learning and self-improving, and would love to try anything that is of novelty, as long as it's safe. I thrive for new experiences, and to share this slice of time with people from different walks of life!
