About Me
Well, life is what happens when you make other plans!
After I finished getting Philosophy and Psychology BGS's from KU, I zipped off to Turkey to teach English for a while. Now, I'm hanging in a little town in SW New Mexico with my folks, and am looking at going for a Master's in Cognitive Therapy within the year.
My main love is music, which I write and play around Roswell, which is about 40 minutes from my town. I also geek out in philosophy and Zen Buddhism, though I general live by the Book of Experience. My weird talent is Juggling, which I love because others love, and it keeps my reflexes super tight.
I hope to continue to play music, and am working on moving to a city or town that has like minded players that I can connect and create a project with.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I wholeheartedly love the idea of sharing resources with fellow man. After living in a Co-Operative in Lawrence, KS, I was opened up to the world of couchsurfing as well as the networking of like-minded community members.
They say you can only get when you give.
I've caught the travel bug, and empathize with others who like to wander and meet souls along the way that can share or teach or be taught.
Interests
MUSIC! Also as stated above, Juggling!
I adore most books and interesting TV productions. I am drawn to comedy, poetry, and tasteful lyricists. Live music is a must for me.
I'm also a makeshift handy-woman, who dabbles in working on cars, home projects and repairs, and am not afraid to try new things or make a few mistakes.
Growing up doing sports, I maintain my physical activity with running and cycling, though I have recently become addicted to yoga (though I'm not very good at it!)

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a soft spot for all things jazz, but enjoy every kind of music.
Though I like a good novel now and again, I tend to read nonfiction, ranging from neuroscience to the Taoism. I'm currently reading Kant...
Movies are hit or miss for me, but I usually go for what is deep, funny, or twisted.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Playing with a band for a while in Kansas City was a great experience for me, and has changed my direction in life since then.
(Moving to Turkey is a close second, as nothing compares to moving across the globe)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm more than happy to teach juggling, which is a great party trick, relaxation mechanism, and hand-eye exercise.
Because I play music, I love getting down on jams!
Basically, I like going out for a drink and having a good conversation. My participation in philosophy club for a long time has helped me hone my conversational banter, and my psychological interests make me a good listener.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A good laugh and some mad cooking skills. It remains important to me to be easy going and an enjoyable person: up for all things though all in moderation (except heroin... that's zero tolerance)
I can offer someone to talk to and hang with if you are passing though this deserted part of the country!
