About Me

I am a US Peace Corps volunteer, serving in a small village in the southern part of Armenia. I teach English at a school of about 50 students. I also live with a host family of 7, who have become a second family to me! I love to travel, experience new cultures, and just see what the world has to offer. I'm open-minded, easy going and I love to sit and chat with friends about anything and everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a volunteer that has been welcomed to live in the homes of Armenians, I'm convinced that really interacting with locals is the best way to get to know a country. I'm also interested in making new friends and engaging in cultural exchange!

NOTE: I live with a host family and am unable to host in my house. However, I would love to meet up in Yerevan if I'm in town or show someone around southern Armenia.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am really just a fan of music, movies and especially books! I listen to music ranging from anything between Johnny Cash to Metallica, Killswitch Engage to George Strait and MGK to Celine Dion. And there is no preference or pattern to my interests in movies or books, and I've always found it impossible to pick favorites. So recommendations are always welcome!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently watched and helped my 14 year old host sister birth some piglets. That was definitely an interesting experience!
