ABOUT ME

After 8 great years in New York Im taking a year long break to travel through Europe. I'm mostly using helpex.net as a way to work and farm my way through the continent. As a theater and art teacher in New York I saw so many problems with the food system and health of my students. I want to take in lots of different cultures and their ways of eating and staying healthy as well as experience farming for an entire growing season so that when I return to New York I can work with programs that focus on making kids healthier, happier, and smarter.

Since I'm traveling for a year (and have no apartment to speak of!) I can't host anymore but I plan to in the future :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Tried it out 4 years ago on a short trip to Europe. Now that Im abroad for a full year I'm hoping to couchsurfing as a way to really connect with the people and countries I visit.

Interests

I'm eager to see lots of different ways of living and I'm particularly interested in food culture. If you are a teacher, a chef, a farmer, or just someone with something to teach me then Im very open to learning it!
