About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore the world and myself without a return date. Learn to trust in the unknown. Find joy in each moment.

In June, I'll be exploring spiritual practice and staying at Plum Village, a Buddhist monastery 1.5 hours from Bordeaux, France. In July, I'll start hiking the Camino de Santiago from the France/Spain border to Santiago -- a 500-mile journey through Spanish towns and countryside. After that, my journey is a mystery.

ABOUT ME

I'm currently on sabbatical from work as a software engineer; my last job was at Etsy (the handmade marketplace), where I worked on localizing and translating our English, US-based site for other markets and languages.

I'm a certified yoga teacher with experience practicing in vinyasa, Iyengar, and restorative traditions, and I've taught mindfulness education to kids for the last year.

WHAT I LIKE

Mindfulness, art, poetry, writing, farming, and teaching. People and stories.

I'd love to learn more about increasing access to education, intentional community living spaces, mindfulness and spirituality, and/or social good tech startups.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To learn and share experiences with others.

My first couch-surfing experience was in Cardiff, Wales with an awesome host named Charlie. My friend and I ended up witnessing our first rugby match, heading to a dance club, and hanging out with Charlie and friends until late. It was a fantastic time in a new location hanging out with couch-surfers.
