About Me

I am Melani from Buenos Aires, Argentina and I am currently living in New York. I lived in Alabama for a year, Seattle for another and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for 10 months. I love travelling! I am now planning a trip to Europe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I believe it is a great way to truly get to know the culture of the country that you're visiting. I am planning to have guests pretty soon so when I am not travelling, the excitement of a different culture can come to me. I find going to hotels a bit boring. I've always liked hostels better and couchsurfing sounds like a lot of fun to me!

Interests

Besides the evident interest for travelling, I love watching movies, I love food (cooking and eating), I am very into learning new languages and I'm a very social person so everything that relates people and events is a good idea to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can pretty much listen to every music genre and watch every movie. I could say I really like documentaries, movies about different decades or periods of history. And of course funny movies. I love movies that make me both laugh and cry.
When it comes to books, I love history books, biographies and also fictional books. I used to read a lot, now not so much but I always try to read at least a book a month.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the decision of going to the US to live there for two years was by far the most rewarding experience so far. I met a lot of great places, a lot of great friends but mostly I learned A LOT about myself and what I wanted in life. I visited 17 different states in two years. Also, living in Rio was awesome!

Teach, Learn, Share

One of the things that I like the most is travelling and meet new people and cultures. I'm very open minded and always willing to learn from people and experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to teach English/Spanish to others. Cooking nice Argentinian or Italian food, for sure.
