About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Taking every chance I get to explore my city and the world.
ABOUT ME
I love to travel and read about places I want to go in between. I'm fascinated by Central Asia in particular, and I'm currently learning Turkish. For work, I'm doing foreign language curriculum design.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted many times in the past when I had the space, but for now I'd like to connect with like-minded people in my new city.
Interests
Afghanistan, Turkey, adult literacy, ESL, refugees, social justice, meat-optional cooking, adoption (human and animal), minimalism, pacifism, anabaptism, sewing, Farsi, Arabic, German, Turkish, books, books, books. Selling all my possessions and traveling the world.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walking the Camino de Santiago in May-June 2012. I started alone and finished with a dear 'family' from Spain, Brazil, Italy, Germany, Austria, Australia and Korea. I missed it so much that I went back and did the whole 900 km, France to the Atlantic, in 2013.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share what I know about my city, my language and German language and culture. I'm by no means a gourmet chef, but I enjoy cooking and eating good food.
As a self-described nerd, I love to learn about language and culture of any kind.
Countries I’ve Visited
