CURRENT MISSION

I've had my passport stolen in Colombia, had a friendly mugging in Quito, almost arrested in Cusco and Taganga, was hospitalised after the amazon, went to heaven in Thailand and am still kickin' and still travelling and always loving it!

ABOUT ME

I am an easy going, fun loving guy who likes to take life as it comes and always enjoys meeting new people. I have an avid interest in Movies, Cricket, Poker and love to have a chat over a beer or wine. I have been o/s for almost 2 years and am coming towards the end of my trip. I am very much looking forward to meeting new people through this website and returning the favour when I am back in Melbourne.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in treating other people the way you would like to be treated. Its simple and very true and if you live your life by this simple rule, things need not be complicated!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have not had any CS experiences, although I have met several couch surfers on my travels. I have volunteered at many hostels in South America and would often meet couch surfers who had planned to meet their hosts there. Recently, I met a really cool guy from London named Kem. Kem had met some amazing people through CS, incl a great experience in Las Vegas as he was thinking of moving there. Our love of poker and travel led us to becoming fast friends, funny as it was a Yoga Ashram that we met in....go figure!!

Interests

I love poker - can play it, watch it, talk about it 24 hours a day!! Will give free lessons to anyone interested!!!

Am a big movie buff - favourites incl The Godfather I & II, The Big Lebowkski, Pulp Fiction, and many many more

The couch gets a hold of me for TV too - The Sopranos, The West Wing, Lost, Seinfeld and The Office (and more hesitant to admit, Buffy and Dawson's Creek!!!)

Books - Been reading like a bandit lately which is a nice change, don't have set authors that I love but ones I am very interested in our Haruki Murakami, Khaled Housseini and Chuck Palahniuk. Currently reading Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Reaching the top of Macchu Picchu was definitely an amazing experience. So many things don't live up the hype and expectations that you inevitably set for yourself, but this one experience that surpassed all hopes.
