ABOUT ME
Born and raised in sunny California, I studied art history, photography, cinema and French at UCLA, and spent a year in Paris for my studies as well. I am now what they call a "transplant" in New York City, currently working at Columbia University School of the Arts. I am an strong advocate for the arts, especially equality for artists and art workers in the "art market." I also am a working member of Manhattan's only food cooperative, where we sell fair-trade organic food and goods.
I'm a part-time traveler with an adventurous palette for different cuisines and all types of spirits. I'm an expert at stumbling upon new art and architecture, and the most gratifying part of traveling for me is meeting new people. I like wandering around and getting lost because the whole point of life it to lose yourself in the world, is it not?
In terms of my dietary preferences, I am pescetarian and I also enjoy vegan cuisine. I conisder myself an oenophile, with a fondness for old world pinot noir. I also homebrew beers with my boyfriend in a small New York apartment.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe you should spend as much time as you can doing the things you enjoy and are pursuing what's worthwhile to you. As the late Steve Jobs once said, "the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking." Yeah life is short, so don't waste your time.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Meeting up with and hosting fellow couchsurfers. I hope to make the world a better place by learning from others and gaining new perspectives. I am aware that this sounds cliched, but hey I guess this is why we couchsurf?
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I still have a lot to learn from couchsurfing, as I have only had a few experiences thus far. I've had the opportunity to host couchsurfers visiting from other countries and have made some lasting friendships!

I enjoy foreign and auteur films, Quentin Tarantino and David Lynch are a few of my favorite directors. Arrested Development and Twin Peaks are some shows that I've enjoyed watching. Netflix binge watching "House of Cards" and "Orange is the New Black" are guilty pleasures for me.
Algo increíble que he hecho
Surfed in the Pacific ocean with dolphins (this happened spontaneously and not at a vacation resort). The presence of dolphins are always an reassuring sign that you are safe from sharks.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
Anyone who makes an effort to break the status quo. I am always excited to see people who thrive on an unconventional path in life.
