I read the forums, join groups, and when I travel, I try to meet people locally.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went to China in August 2010 and met 2 different CouchSurfers. It was a great experience. One took me to a restaurant, the other took me shopping and Walmart! I really wanted to visit a Chinese Walmart.
I went to Hong Kong in June 2011, and again, met two very nice CouchSurfers.

I went skydiving in Cape Town, South Africa!

When people eat at a restaurant while travelling and they complain that "it doesn't taste like home"... D'UH !!! You're NOT at home!

I'm sociable. I can tell stories about how I live, how I grew up. I'm not a great cook, but I can try to whip up something for you.
