Overview
About Me
Hey, I'm Melina from Germany and I only had one experience with Couchsurfing so far. The reason why I created this account is the interrail-journey I'm currently making with a friend. We are travelling through Scandinavia from the end of May to the middle of June and want to see a lot of nature, but also want to connect to a lot of people, preferably local ones, so we can get a real impression of what life is in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. And I expect Couchsurfing to be a beautiful way of getting this connection. :)
Currently, I'm doing a voluntary service in a psychiatric hospital which has strengthened my need to work with people and to understand humans itselves. Therefore I want to start studying psychology or philosophy and neurosciences this year.
In my free time I sing in a pop and jazz choir, write lyrical texts, poems and essays, read a lot of philosophical books, classics and realistic novels and dance in different styles.
I'm a lover of arts and with that I also mean arts like theater and nature, of movements and stories, sounds and compositions.
Often I'm rather a melancholic and serious person who is interested in having deep and long talks about god and the world.
But I can also be very enthusiastic and energetic, it totally depends on my mood. ;)
At the moment I'm not able to be a host myself, but when I'll have my own appartement, you are absolutely welcome in Hannover (or wherever I'll be then)!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to a Rainbow Gathering in Poland last year. It's kind of a hippie-festival with wild camping, lots of live music and campfires, workshops about meditation, yoga, african dancing...And without electronics and drugs. It was simply amazing:)
I walked the Camino Portugues from Porto in Portugal to Santiago de Compostela in Spain together with a friend I only knew from letters we wrote each other until the start of the journey. Walking every day and meeting all these wonderful people on the way just cleared my mind and gave me a lot of energy.
Teach, Learn, Share
Some suggestions:
- Making a city tour, of course we would invite you to a drink or something
- Making music together
- Cooking together
- Going on an excursion (into nature etc.)
- playing parlour games
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm open to adapt myself to the way you as a host want to create the couchsurfing relationship. I'm okay with discovering the city on my (or our) own and maybe just cooking together as well as I'm fine with spending a lot of time together. That depends on you! I would be extremely thankful to get the opportunity of sharing a part of my journey with you!
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Czech Republic, England, Greece, Italy, Japan, Poland, Portugal, Spain
