About Me
Hey Hosts and Surfers,
my name is Melinda and I am a student of English Filology and soon Psychology. Normally I live in Pécs, a historical town in southern Hungary, but currently I am on Erasmus in A Coruna, where I spend my days with meeting amazing people and enjoying life. I am mostly open-minded and say yes to every good opportunity that crosses my path but sometimes I tend to close myself in my cave and enjoy the calmness, so every step I take towards the World adds something to my personality and helps me fight the self that would rather take a long afternoon nap than jump off a cliff with a parachute. I am new to CS as well as in the world of traveling and living far from home, out of my confort zone, but as I got one bite of it I crave more. I think when someone starts traveling there is no way to stop until you're 100 years old. I love hanging around with my friends, eating good meals with some drinks, I consider myself easy going and I don't complain a lot, try to adapt to every condition. The most important thing for me right now is to broaden my perspective and step out of my comfort zone, that's what I need help with from every surfer and host I encounter. I don't have any experience yet, but I really hope that is about to change. I am looking forward to meeting You :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My current mission is to visit as many places as I can and meet each and every person on Earth to learn a lot about the World and broaden my mind. Coachsurfing is the best way to meet a lot of amazing people and be part of different cultures. I have yet so many things to learn, but I wanna share that little that I know and help other people have the best experience if they visit my city.
Interests
I love spending time in the nature, wandering around in cities and float in my own reality. I enjoy my own company and don't mind being alone, but I love meeting new people and listen to their stories, discover new places together. Sports are really not my cup of tea, but my new affection in Spain is running by the ocean, that is a whole new kind of exercise, though I'm still waiting for the moment I fly away, so I don't need to move too much :D I enjoy good meals with a glass of fine wine or beer and interesting conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to everything from heavy metal to R&B, the most iportant thing is that I can sing along (though others may prefer if I listen to some techno without lyrics..thats not likely to happen :D) I mostly prefer fantasy movies, I'm a huge fan of Disney, but I also like films that provoke thinking and light new perspectives. I read a lot because of my studies, I like English classical literature and easy novels too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Opened up and let the World in. Still in process, so I need a lot of help until that door is wide open. Take the handle and join me :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to improve my Spanish, I'm very grateful for every help with that. I can teach English in return or Hungarian, of course,if someone wants to learn, though that never happened before. Im waitning for the first brave adventurer. :D I can also tell you everything about my culture and learn a lot about yours. Besides, I welcome every tip and trick about surviving and enjoying life in your city and if you come to mine I'll share everything I know about the best places and show you around.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can share some great moments, of course, a lot of stories and enjoy some good meals. I can cook some typical Hungarian cuisines and open to learn new recepies to make my repertoir more international.
