I am so excited about the new year, and making plans to see the world, and enjoy my life even more!

ABOUT ME

I love learning new things. I feel I learn through people. I want to travel the world, and I am not sure if it's to see the whole world, or just to meet all those different people I haven't met yet. I usually travel alone, and I feel like if I die in some foreign land, then at least I died doing something I really wanted to do. I love the outdoors. I feel like 2009 I really learned that about myself..Being outside is so important for me. It helps me remember the "why" of my life. I enjoy journaling, being creative, laughing... I used to love to read and such, but I don't feel like I have the time right now to do anything but live my life, and reading is just too much sitting!

PHILOSOPHY

I really believe life is circular. I think the way to find my personal happiness is doing things I want to do NOW... There really is no tomorrow, and so I plan my days so I am doing things that excite me, or challenge me, or grow me. I will always be making the same mistakes, until maybe one day I see them, and am able to stop. Awareness is one step, but becoming who I really want to be...well, that's just being-ness :) I can do it sometimes, and when i am really in my being-ness, well it feels AWESOME. Donno if that makes any sense, lol.

Interests

Learning Spanish, becoming a better writer, better artist--especially of the human body, I want to learn Latin dancing, I like belly dancing, hiking, kayaking, camping, horseback riding, looking at the stars, swimming in the ocean, eating good food, talking about "deep" things...., I want to know how to cook better...I want to go fishing, snorkeling, swim with dolphins... I love running. I love live music....I want to learn to play piano... I love trying new things.... I am always interested in challenging myself to do things that scare me...

Music, Movies, and Books

I used to love to read, and watch movies, but recently life just seems too short. That said, I have read and watched a lot...Here are some favorites I can remember:...
Books: "Eat, Pray, Love," travel books, love young adult fantasy books, and authors that come to mind: Madeleine L'Engle, Lloyd Alexander, Susan Cooper James Cravell "Thrump-Moto" by James Clavell, the same guy who wrote "Shogun," and "King Rat" wrote one of my favorite childrens story......to name a few, oh Terry Pratchett.... Also like classics: Jane Eyre, Louisa May Alcott, some Jane Austin, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Walt Whitman, Shakespeare,. My favorite book of poetry is "The Prophet" by Kahlil Gribran .... Oh, must not forget my favorite "Calvin and Hobbs." There's too much to list!
Movies, everything but horror (well, I did actually like the original Psycho)! Love Actually, While You Were Sleeping, Shawshank Redemption, It Happened One Night, Witness for the Prosecution, Star Wars (the originals made in the 70's and 80's, I don't even consider the new ones), Victor Victoria, Marty, Joe Versus the Volcano, Casablanca, Gandhi, Baron Von Muchausen, King of Hearts, Fish Called Wanda, Gold Rush, Pink Panther, Planes, Trains and Automobiles....All I am thinking of is older movies right now...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen a man with a dog, carrying a cat on it's back, and a bird on its back, and a mouse on the head of the cat... He said he didn't understand people, but animals if you feed them, they are pretty easy to get to live peacefully together.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can play the didgeridoo and circular breath...I have so much I want to learn..See above. I feel guilty I don't really know what I can teach anyone! But I would be happy to, only what?
