Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION:
I'm just a man of the earth wandering down the old dusty road. I've been through Se Asia, Japan and Australia this time around, heading now for New Zealand!
ABOUT ME:
I am on the adventure of a lifetime, growing in ways that I have only ever dreamed of. I travel with as few plans as possible nowadays and let the universe open up my doors of destiny. I seek to learn new forms of interacting and to teach ways of love and acceptance. I'm always down for a celebration :)
Before I left to travel, I was about to start a Ph.D in mineral physics at UC Berkeley in California--something I still intend to do I the future. I view my work in science as an art, where I employ my skill set of scientific knowledge, experimentation with lasers and computer modeling to my canvas, our earth and the solar system. I paint as accurate and beautiful picture as possible, using the micro-details, the minerals, to describe the macro-picture, the planets.
I am practicing living in a sustainable way and advocate resource-based economy. I pursue freedom, in the most general sense.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE:
When I am traveling, I want to make new friends and experience things I would miss otherwise. At home (in the U.S.) I also want to make new friends and build community. I would especially love to connect with others involved in--and talk about--cooperative communities. I always respect others' homes and am grateful to hold the space. As a guest, I am courteous and always practice a Leave No Trace policy.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE:
I've couchsurfed in the US and Japan. I am flexible and can adapt easily to most living situations.
Interests
Journeying, Hiking, biking, rock climbing, bush camping.
With Music, I play guitar, drums, jazz/funk/jam music and make electronic music too. I love psystep and downtempo groove music, like Kalya Scintilla and Tipper :)
Movements, I practice meditation, aikido and yoga. I love a good boogie too.
Sustainability, I'm into cooperative living, DIY projects, food preparation. I cook a mean stir-fry--if you like spicy food--and sprout beans, nuts and seeds for eating. I would like to learn to build my own bike and brew my own beer.
