About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am living in a beautiful community near Lowgap, NC doing a one year clinical herbalism intensive. Basically I live and breath herbs :) I hike and explore NC as much as I can in between.
ABOUT ME
Ring the bells that still can ring, forget your perfect offering, there is a crack in everything, thats how the light gets in -L. Cohen
Imperfection in the face of self-reliance is my creative outlet. I strive to live authentically, in accordance with my own morals and desires. I am inspired by people, their lights and cracks, songs and paintings...their eyes.
I am an herbalist/poet/urban homesteader/seamstress/lover/gypsy/wildcrafter of plants and people. Life is really beautiful.
PHILOSOPHY
"We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time."
-TS Elliot

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a book junkie! I just finished 'The Red Tent.' Amazing!! Right now I'm reading 'The tenants of moonblom." I love Milan Kundera, most of the books from New York Book Review, Mark Twain, Christoper Moore. On a William Carlos Williams kick.
BLUEGRASS! GYPSY PIRATE JAMS! CREEPY CIRCUS MUSIC! JUG BANDS! AND OF COURSE EARLY 90'S EVERYTHING. THINK REM AND SALT N' PEPPA.
I'm not big on tv but I do really like movies by Jean- Pierre Jeunet, Tim Burton and Wes Anderson.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching the traffic lights change in the middle of the Taksin Chinawat protests in Thailand some years ago...I'm not sure why it affected me so strongly; all the streets blocked off, whole families, monks and business men singing and flying kites together in peaceful protest, the whole time seeing the passage of time through the changing colors of the lights. Best moment I've ever had.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you about plants and herbal medicine...We can even go into the woods and harvest if it's the right season.
I want to learn how to tan hides, hunt, make leather shoes, smoke fish, build, raise goats, shear sheep...
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am an excellent cook and will bring you herbal goodies :)
