About Me
Hello to all ye!
My name is Melissa and i'm 21 years old. I'm currently finishing my studies at university and since I love travelling so much and learning about new cultures and ways of life, I've been in a couple of universities around Europe. Born and raised right outside of NYC, I came to study in Porto, Portugal three years ago. Last year I spent a semester in Limerick, Ireland and this year I'm going to Munich, Germany!
My interests are music and photography. I'm super active and into health and well-being as well, but I very glady have a couple of beers :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm super excited but the housing situation in Munich being as it is so complicated, I've decided to post up on Couchsurfing to find a temporary stay while looking for the perfect long term apartment in the city.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: indie, post, pysch and stoner rock
Books: Charles Bukowski and Fernando Pessoa as all time favorites
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not amazing, but only starting to travel two years ago, I've already been to Paris, London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Budapest, Krakow, Warsaw and basically all of Ireland and Portugal in that time :D
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a language student, so I'll gladly teach either of my fluent languages to the interested!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My parents have a farm house 10km outside the city of Chaves, a beautiful tradicional rural area in northern Portugal. Any interested could couchsurf there and try some typical portuguese mom cooking and participate in farm life (we produce olive oil, wine, all types of vegetables and also have dogs, chickens, pigs and rabbits).
Chaves is a roman city, being one of the oldest in Portugal. Also the house is 500m away from the border with Galicia, Spain and super close to known cities like Santiago de Compostela.
Countries I’ve Visited
England, France, Hungary, Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
Ireland, Portugal, United States
