About Me
(*note: I'm not blond anymore. That picture just cracks me up. See below for the story.)
My life philosophy:
"Learn to make the world your own.
No one is a stranger, my child; the whole world is your own."
-The Holy Mother, Sri Sarada Devi.
I'm returning to the US after six years living in Tortola in the British Virgin Islands (BVI), so I'm readjusting to tap water that doesn't come from a cistern, driving on the right at speeds above 35mph/55kmh, and internet that actually works.
I have friends around the world, and I'm always interested in meeting more. My life is really in transition right now, so it's difficult to say more.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The Couchsurfing lifestyle is just kind of a way of life in the BVI. While there, I played host to people from Australia, Germany, Canada, Israel, the US, Guatemala and more. I would feel something was lacking from my life if I weren't able to continue hosting and meeting people from around the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One time on my way back to Tortola, the last leg of my trip was on a six-seater turbo-prop plane where I just happened to be the only passenger. I'm not usually one for selfies, but at that moment, it seemed appropriate :)
While diving, I once chased a Grouper that was as big as I am and I danced with a huge Pufferfish for ten full minutes. It was just turning back and forth checking me out. They're incredibly intelligent.
Teach, Learn, Share
When in the tropics, judicious use of DEET is your friend. Trying to be "natural" is not worth Dengue/Chikungunya/Zika. That ish ain't fun.
I want to learn how to code and practice drawing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Once I'm settled, I'll have a nice self-inflating air mattress for guests and a great Gaggia Classic espresso machine.
