Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm fairly new to Couchsurfing itself but have surfed during my travelling in South America and China. Of course I love travelling and I feel it is always best when these experiences are shared! During my previous travels, I have relied on local recommendations and try to avoid typical "tourist" attractions - every city has hidden gems! I am now using Couchsurfing to enhance my travelling experiences but also to return the favour and help other travellers enjoy their stay in my city :)

Interests

Live music, sports, drinking, going out, walking, eating out, watching football cooking... the list can go on!
Although no where near as travelled as other Couchsurfers, I love to travel: see new places, try new things, taste new flavours, meet new people.....

There isn't much I wouldn't like to try :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not sure if it's the most amazing thing I've done, but I recently trekked the Salkantay Inca trail to Machu Picchu. I met so many amazing people during the 6 day trek and the complete difference in cultures blew me way. I managed to raise some money for Childreach Int. charity who had projects in the area so it's good to know and see exactly how the money benefits them.
