Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I spent a year studying and working in Spain and Portugal as part of my degree and have been hooked on travelling since! Currently teaching English in Colombia and hoping to explore more of Latin America :)

Interests

I love languages and getting to know new people and new places. A drink and good conversation with friends in a bar is my idea of a good time!

I studied Spanish and Portuguese at university and can speak them reasonably well. I also studied some Italian but I'm out of practice and have forgotten a lot. I also go through phases of trying to learn French and German, although the only thing I can recall easily is 'wasser'.

I'm also into writing and am trying to keep up a travel blog.

Also pretty into politics and learning more about the world we live in - please note I'm NOT a fan of Brexit ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

i can listen to most music (i think, except screamo and heavy metal), but particularly rap/r&b/grime/dance/techno. i'm a sucker for anything by Rihanna or Drake. Also really into the weeknd, kendrick lamar & frank ocean

I like a good binge on netflix, especially if its orange is the new black. Although i recently finished narcos and i've decided its my second favourite show on there.

I would like to read more than I do, I never seem to find the time. I love some of the classics though - namely 1984 and To Kill a Mockingbird. Currently reading Cien Anos de Soledad, although its taking me a while since I'm reading it in Spanish.

Nothing remarkable although I'm proud to be out experiencing life in Colombia right now :)
