Hi! I'm Melissa, a 25 years old girl from Verona, Italy. I love traveling and as soon as I can I book a ticket to go somewhere. A couple of years ago I spent 2 months and a half in Glasgow, Scotland - as a summer aupair for a Scottish family - and after that last experience, I'd say that travelling has become to me a thing that I absolutely need in my life, not just because I have the chance to see new places, but because I can meet new people as well.

I joined Couchsurfing because I like to think that it's not just the traveling itself that makes life worthy to be lived, but also and mostly the people you meet during this journey, with their strengths but also their flaws.
I love sharing experiences and stories with people from all over the world. After trying CS in Ireland for the first time back in 2017, I'd say that it is the best way to meet people and to make stories worth to be told once you get back home hahah.

My hobbies include reading books, watching TV series, walking and listening to music. I also spend my time doing some voluntary work as EMT/first-aider in ambulances for the Green Cross (if you’re wondering what is it, it’s an association similar to the British Red Cross).

My favourite books include Harry Potter, How To Kill A Mockingbird, 1984 and so on (I could spend my life listing all the books that I love).
I love pop and rock music. My favourite groups are in fact the Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc. ... I know few songs from Led Zeppelin but I also enjoy listening to some Ed Sheeran's songs, Scottish music, Mumford & Sons.

As I said before, I'm a huge fan of TV series. My favourite shows are Doctor Who, Penny Dreadful, Broadchurch, Orange Is The New Black, Sense8 (I'm still mad at Netflix for its cancellation), Vikings, Game Of Thrones, ...
