Hi there!

My name is Melissa and I'm 25 years old. I'm half English and half Danish. I'm currently having a gap year (or 10) between my bachelor's and master's. I studied prehistoric archaeology, which was awesome, and I especially love the travel aspect of archaeology (Besides Denmark, I've worked in Peru, Greenland and Russia).
Covid-19 put a temporary hold to my travels, but I plan on continuing as soon as it's safe. I've had the privilege of visiting 73 amazing countries and territories, my favourites being the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Russia, all of Central Asia and Mongolia. I mostly travel solo, which is the best way to meet people imo!

I'm a very passionate person and I believe in living your dream, which is why my travel blog is titled I Live as I Dream (www.iliveasidream.com).

I love hiking, animals, vegan food, natural phenomenons (seen 3 total solar eclipses and tons of aurora), exploring cultures and learning languages. I also love meeting new people and having friends all over the world! The people that I meet on the road are what make solo travelling so great!

I'm Bahá'í which basically means that I accept everyone for who they are - also if you consume meat! ;)
